What is a rental proof pack?

A rental proof pack is a tamper-evident record of a property's condition. It combines photos, video, location, and notes with a SHA-256 hash for each file and a timestamp, so the evidence cannot be altered after it is created.

Is RentSimple documentation legally binding?

RentSimple is a documentation tool and does not provide legal advice. Your verified records and audit trail can support your position in a dispute, but they are not a substitute for legal counsel.

How does the Evidence Score work?

The Evidence Score analyzes your proof pack for completeness — media, location, timestamps, and notes — and flags the gaps you can fix before a dispute happens.

How much does RentSimple cost?

Plans start at $9.99/month for Monthly Protection, $99/year for the Year Plan, and a one-time $7.99 Verified Report. See the pricing section for full details.

Can I share a proof pack with my landlord or tenant?

Yes. Every verified proof pack generates a shareable link and QR code so a landlord, tenant, or adjudicator can independently verify the record.

RentSimple manages 5 data types including properties. Helps you organize, track, and share your work in 1 place for teams and solo users.
